The Helen Bader Foundation, Inc., Milwaukee recently awarded 70 new grants totaling more than $2.7 million. The spring grants mean the Helen Bader Foundation has committed more than $200 million in grants since it was established in 1992.
"Every year, we at the Foundation see the cumulative impact that our support has on the vital issues in communities of all sizes, whether in Milwaukee, throughout Wisconsin, or in places beyond," said Daniel Bader, Foundation president. "Through the work of our grant partners, we see this as a long-term investment, helping to spur new ideas and build stronger connections that make a difference on some of the critical issues we face."
The foundation awarded eight grants totaling $615,000 to organizations in it’s community initiatives program, which support and enhance life in the Milwaukee area. Additional grants will further the Foundation’s key programs of Economic Development, Alzheimers and aging, Community Partnerships for Youth, arts and emerging initiatives surrounding Alzheimer’s disease in Israel and Jewish education.
