Guhring’s Brian Adam earns chamber honor

Brian Adam of Gurhing, Inc., has been named the Business Person of the Year by the Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce.
The firm, at 1445 Commerce Ave. in Brookfield, manufactures high-performance drills for industry.
Adam, the firm’s materials manager, has been with Guhring for nearly 13 years. According to the chamber, he has played a key role in the company’s growth from $14.5 million in sales in 1987 to more than $51 million last year.
He also serves as facilities project manager, safety committee director, auto fleet manager, and shipping manager for the firm. He recently supervised a $10 million expansion program that saw Guhring adding more than 31,000 square feet of space and new equipment to its facilities at Barker Road.
Away from work, Adam enjoys Jimmy Buffet music, Cajun cooking, kimchee, and fast cars.
He is a member of the chamber’s board of directors and serves on the Manufacturing/Industrial Council.
