Grounds Maintenance Services relocates to former Nature’s Nook site

Grounds Maintenance Services, a landscaping, lawn maintenance and snowplowing services company, has relocated to the former Nature’s Nook property at 16980 W. National Ave. in New Berlin.

Grounds Maintenance plans to transform the site and will add a full-service nursery, garden center and coffee shop there along with its existing landscaping, lawn and property services.
The project is expected to be complete next year. The nursery, garden center and coffee shop will be called Poplar Creek Gardens.
“Poplar Creek Gardens will be a destination for those who want to improve their homes, learn about gardening or just socialize with their neighbors,” said Todd Ruedt, owner of Grounds Maintenance Services.
The historic building on the property, with its cedar barn wood exterior will be refurbished and reused and its greenhouse rebuilt. The new Poplar Creek Gardens store will house a café, gift shop and gardening education center.
