Groundbreaking Thursday for Foster Pontiac site redevelopment

A groundbreaking ceremony will be held Thursday to celebrate the start of construction for the redevelopment of the former Foster Pontiac site at 3636 S. 27th St. on Milwaukee’s south side. The property has been vacant since the auto dealership closed 2006. The existing 32,500-square-foot building on the site will be demolished.

The developer for the project, Terraco Inc., has planned a three-building project with a total of 20,800 square feet of space for the 3.4-acre site. The first building will be owned by Oscar Inc., a franchisee for Buffalo Wild Wings. The 8,000-square-foot building will have a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant and a space for a Jimmy John’s sandwich shop.

Later, Terraco plans to build a 4,800-square-foot retail building and another 8,000-square-foot building on the site. Tenants have yet to be determined. Milwaukee-based KVG Building Corp. is the general contractor for the project, called Wilson Creek Crossing. Milwaukee-based GRAEF did site design work for the project. Mid-America Real Estate Milwaukee office brokers Dan Cohen and Dan Rosenfeld are seeking tenants for the project.
