Groundbreaking ceremony held for Solaris in Menomonee Valley

A groundbreaking ceremony was held last Thursday to celebrate the start of construction of a 68,000-square-foot plant for Solaris Inc. in the Menomonee Valley Industrial Center.

Solaris, a medical compression garment manufacturer, will move to the facility from its current location in West Allis.

Solaris’ facility will house its office, development and manufacturing space. Interstate Partners is the developer for the project.

The Menomonee Valley Industrial Center is comprised of 60 acres just east of Miller Park. Companies located there include Ingeteam, Palermo’s, J.F. Ahern, Charter Wire, Derse, Taylor Dynamometer, Caleffi, Rishi Tea, and Badger Railing. All but four of the 60 acres in the MVIC have been or are being developed. City officials are in ongoing discussions with companies interested in developing the remaining four acres.
