Ground broken for Kenosha hotel construction

Kenosha-based Bear Realty and Mills Enterprises recently held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of construction of a three-story, 90-room Candlewood Suites hotel northeast of 104th Avenue and 74th Street in Kenosha.

The hotel is expected to open next summer. Candlewood Suites is an extended stay hotel brand.

Each suite will have a kitchen and the hotel’s amenities will include a convenience store, laundry area and a fitness center. North Liberty, Iowa-based Kinseth Hospitality Companies will manage the hotel.
