Graphics Systems Corp. is relocating its headquarters from Menomonee Falls to Germantown in an effort to gain more space for training classes.
The company is a reseller of 3D printers and 3D CAD systems and also offers training classes, technical support and process solutions. The new 20,000-square-foot facility at W189 N11161 Kleinmann Drive was formerly the site of Family Fun Land.
The Menomonee Falls facility only has one training room while the Germantown location will have space for three training rooms and two auxiliary rooms. It will also have a 3D printing showroom, café, lounge area and outdoor patio.
“We’ve designed the building with the customer in mind,” Graphic Systems president David Kasinskas said. “A main objective in the design was to include collaborative areas to inspire creativity and innovative thinking, both internally and externally,” he added.
The company grew its workforce by 27 percent last year, adding another 20 employees across its facilities in Wisconsin, including Eau Claire, Green Bay and Madison, and Illinois in Oakbrook Terrace and Freeport.
The building project is under the design direction of Cedarburg-based The Kubala Washatko Architects whose work includes the Colectivo Coffee shops, the Milwaukee Public Market, and the Iron Horse Hotel. The move is expected to be complete in March.
