Governor’s New Product Awards applications being accepted

Manufacturers with new and improved products that stimulate the life and growth of the country are encouraged to apply for the Governor’s New Product Awards by Monday, Feb. 16.

Past winners include Kohler-based Kohler Co., Milwaukee-based Rockwell Automation Inc., Brown Deer-based Badger Meter Inc. and Racine-based InSinkErator.

The Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers, which reestablished the Governor’s New Product Awards, will enter Best of State winners from four categories into the national contest. The four employment categories are small (50 or fewer employees); medium (51 to 200 employees); large (200 to 9,999 employees); and mega (10,000 or more employees). Wisconsin companies have won the top national award 19 times since 1993.

The awards will be made during WSPE’s Discovery Conference in May 2015.

The GNPA competition is conducted in conjunction with the National Society of Professional Engineers in Industry new product awards competition.
