Google Express brings next day shipping to Milwaukee

Google’s next day delivery service Google Express is now being offered in parts of central and eastern Wisconsin, including Milwaukee.

Offering consumers another way to shop online, Google Express allows Milwaukee area residents to order non-perishable items such as clothes, toys, electronics and books from national stores like Costco, Toys R Us and Barnes & Noble and specialty stores like L’Occitane and PetSmart and get delivery the next day.

Google Express started in San Francisco in 2013, and is available to shoppers in seven cities. This latest expansion across the Midwest is the first geographic expansion since last fall when the service expanded to Chicago, Boston and Washington, DC.

“Our goal with Google Express is to offer a great shopping experience and connect people with their favorite stores. We’re very excited to be further expanding our efforts — making it easy for over 25 million people in the Midwest to get things they need from stores they love — delivered overnight,” said Brian Elliott, general manager of Google Express.

The Midwest expansion also includes parts of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Iowa.

Shoppers can sign up for an unlimited delivery membership for $95 a year/ $10 month or get a la carte delivery for $4.99 per store. A three-month free trial is available for new members.
