Golf travel company includes Wisconsin on its “hot list” of global destinations for 2019

Austin, Texas-based golf travel company Garmany Golf includes Wisconsin on its 2019 “hot list” of global golf travel destinations.

The 2019 Garmany Golf Hot List includes:

  • Vietnam
  • Northwest Ireland
  • Wisconsin
  • France
  • South Africa
  • New Zealand
  • Dubai and Abu Dhabi
  • Melbourne, Australia and Tasmania
  • South Korea

For Wisconsin, Garmany Golf says: “The land of cheeseheads and bratwurst has emerged as a golf destination.”

Garmany Golf says its Wisconsin tours include Erin Hills in Washington County, Sand Valley near Nekoosa in central Wisconsin, and Kohler Co. courses Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run in Sheboygan County. It’s Wisconsin tours also include accommodations at the American Club in Kohler.

“On a Garmany Golf Experience, golfers will play courses that have hosted the Ryder Cup (Whistling Straits in 2020), U.S. Open Championship (Erin Hills in 2017), PGA Championship (Whistling Striats in 2004, 2010 and 2015) and U.S. Women’s Open (Blackwolf Run in 1998 and 2012),” Garmany Golf says in a news release.

Four Wisconsin golf courses, including Whistling Straits, Blackwolf Run and Erin Hills, recently made the Golf Digest magazine list of America’s 100 best golf courses.

Golf magazine picked the Mammoth Dunes course at Sand Valley as its “Best new course of 2018.”

Sand Valley was named Golf Digest’s “Best New Course of 2017.”
