What is the biggest obstacle to your company’s growth?
“Finding qualified talent. Training for skilled trades and manufacturing, in general, has been deficient during the past 20 years. Technical high schools and colleges need to better position training for effectiveness as students transition to the workforce. Recruiting challenges run across the spectrum.”
Do you plan to make any changes to your company?
“We are planning for continued growth around 8 to 9 percent, constant recruiting and hiring of qualified employees, machine purchases, software upgrades and additional acquisitions.”
What is the outlook for your industry?
“Key segments of the manufacturing industry will continue to grow, including industrial product design, mold making, and metal machinery manufacturing. Local well-managed manufacturing entities will continue to grow as well; however, we anticipate entities managed without industry context or expertise to continue to fail.”
