Chicago-based deep dish pizza chain Giordano’s is eyeing Kenosha for its first Wisconsin restaurant.

Giordano’s is seeking approval for a 4,442-square-foot restaurant to be located at 7120 Green Bay Road in Kenosha, according to city documents.

The building would be constructed on an outlot at Southport Plaza shopping center, joining nearby restaurant chains Taco Bell, McDonald’s and HuHot Mongolian Grill.

Site plans will be reviewed by the city’s Plan Commission on Thursday, Jan. 10.

Kenosha is listed on the company’s website as “opening soon,” along with four other midwestern cities, including Madison. Giordano’s currently operates almost 20 restaurants in eight states.
