Charlotte, N.C.-based The Ghazi Co. has created a Web site for its proposed Catalyst development at the corner of North 4th Street and Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Milwaukee. The Web site: www.catalystmilwaukee.com shows a video about the project and a marketing package. The video was created by Milwaukee-based Kahler Slater Architects Inc., which did the master planning for the project for Ghazi. In addition, the marketing package for the project indicates that Dan Rosenfeld of Mid-American Real Estate is handling the retail space leasing brokerage for the project. The project, to be built on a parking lot across the street from the Midwest Airlines Center, would include 150,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space, a 29-story residential tower with about 200 units, a 13-story hotel tower with about 160 rooms and a 9,000-square-foot urban plaza. Afshin Ghazi, the founder of The Ghazi Co., spoke recently at the fifth annual SBT Commercial Real Estate and Development Conference, when he announced that Big City Lanes, an upscale bowling alley, will be a tenant in the development. Big City Lanes is a concept of Charlotte, N.C.-based Bar Management Group. The Milwaukee bowling alley will have about 18 lanes and will occupy 20,000 to 25,000 square feet of space in the Ghazi project.
