Germantown dining institution sold

Lohmann’s Steak House, a 60-year-old family-owned restaurant at W183 N9609 Appleton Ave. in Germantown, was sold recently by Mark Lohmann to Michael Pranke, president of Milwaukee-based Roaring Fork LLC, for $1.25 million. Lohmann was represented by Ted Klumb of Equity Commercial Real Estate LLC, and the buyer was represented by Sandy Golden of CB Richard Ellis in brokering the deal. The restaurant sits on a one-acre property in a prime location surrounded by retail development at the northwest corner of Appleton Avenue and Highway Q. Lohmann will continue to operate the restaurant for about four more months, and then it will close. Pranke is expected to tear down the building for a new development.
