Franklin Sentry to close

The Sentry grocery store at 7140 S. 76th Street in Franklin will close soon, according to sources. The store is owned by Grundl Foods Inc. When contacted by a reporter the store owner, Gary Grundl, declined to comment.

The Sentry store will be the second grocery store to close in Franklin in recent months. The Sendik’s Fine Foods store at Highway 100 and Drexel Avenue closed around Aug. 1, and it was sold to Milwaukee-based Roundy’s Supermarkets Inc., which plans to open a Pick ‘n Save store in the space around Nov. 1.
