Founder of Erv’s Mug has died

Erv Kazik, founder of Erv’s Mug, a landmark pub and restaurant in Oak Creek, has died.

Kazik opened Erv’s Mug on Ryan Road in 1979.

A memorial celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, May 2, at Erv’s Mug from 3:30 to 8 p.m. The celebration will be preceded by a memorial service at St. Alphonsus Church in Greendale at 2 p.m.

The restaurant is known for its Friday fish fry and craft beer selection. It is owned by Kazik’s daughter, Danielle Baerwald.
