The former Quilted Bear Restaurant & Banquet Hall, located at N111 W18611 Mequon Road in Germantown, has been sold. The restaurant will be reopened and rebranded under new ownership, according to an announcement.
The restaurant was sold for $600,000 to Project Design Management LLC. Tom Kohl of The Boerke Company represented the seller in the transaction.
The new ownership group plans to revamp and rebrand the restaurant, which will be renamed Florian Park. The group plans to open Florian Park in early to mid 2014.
The former Quilted Bear had been in business for nearly 30 years before it went out of business a year ago.
“Quilted Bear was a mainstay in this area for a long time, and when we toured the property we saw the potential for something great to happen here again,” said new owner and managing partner Ryan Rahl. “This area needs a high quality place to hold beautiful wedding receptions and gatherings, and we think under the new Florian Park name, menu offerings, and atmosphere that the community will love to see this facility back in business.”
The building, constructed in the early 1980s, has two banquet halls and a separate restaurant facility.
“It was great to see this beautiful facility sell to new ownership that sees the real potential here,” said Kohl. “When the (Quilted) Bear closed, there was a hole left in the Germantown community, but the void left will be filled and then some when Florian Park opens.”
