Former Plunkett Raysich president dies

Jim Plunkett, the former president of Milwaukee-based Plunkett Raysich Architects LLP and the son of company founder Henry Plunkett, died last week at his home in River Hills. He was 81.

Plunkett joined the firm in 1958, two years after graduating from Cornell University with a degree in architecture. He was named president of the firm in 1971.

Late in his career he chose to forgo full-time retirement and instead provided architectural consulting services for numerous projects.

“Jim was a great teacher, a great mentor, a great giver and a great partner and friend,” said Dave Raysich, managing partner of Plunkett Raysich Architects.
