The former Home Owners Bargain Outlet (HOBO) building on Highway 100 in West Allis has been sold to Phoenix, Arizona-based AMERCO Real Estate Company, which provides real estate and development services for U-Haul.
An AMERCO representative could not immediately be reached to provide more details about its plans for the former West Allis HOBO building.
U-Haul already has a facility immediately south of the building.
AMERCO bought the building, located at 800 S. 108th St., for $3.7 million from Beloit-based Hendricks Commercial Properties LLC, according to state records. The 79,350-square-foot building sits on a 6.7-acre site, according to a Cushman & Wakefied|Boerke Company listing.
Home Owners Bargain Outlet closed its West Allis and Milwaukee stores in 2018.
