Boca Raton, Fla.-based Procacci Development Corp. hopes to convince the federal government to move the downtown Milwaukee FBI office to a building in Menomonee Falls that Procacci would purchase, renovate and lease to the FBI.
According to a village staff report, the firm has submitted plans to purchase a 105,000-square-foot office building at W180 N7950 Town Hall Road in Menomonee Falls, that would be renovated and leased to the FBI.
However, Procacci general counsel Jeffrey Lapidus said that no deal is in place with the FBI. The federal government is in the very early stages of considering where to locate the Milwaukee FBI office and Procacci will likely be one of several bidders, he said.
The Milwaukee FBI office is currently located at 330 E. Kilbourn Ave. in downtown Milwaukee. The FBI office there occupies about 80,000 square feet of space.
FBI spokesman Leonard Peace said he is not permitted to disclose how many people work in the Milwaukee office. The federal government is seeking 152 parkings spaces for its office in Menomonee Falls, according to the village staff report.
