Fish, Cheese and Brat Throwdown

The Westown Association squared off against the East Town Association recently during a high-flying noon hour for a "Fish, Cheese and Brat Throwdown" to welcome Wisconsin’s first Kincaid’s Restaurant to downtown Milwaukee and to promote businesses on both sides of the river.  Two 10-member teams clad in bright ponchos competed gauntlet-style along the Milwaukee River Walk outside Kincaid’s at 1110 N. Old World Third St. Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett provided play-by-play during the 10-minute competition. Westown walked away with the $3,000 first place charitable donation from Kincaid’s. East Town Association received $2,000.  Both groups will use the donations for neighborhood improvements and to promote downtown business as a whole.
