Racine-based Fischer Precise USA Inc., a precision machine tool spindle manufacturer, is changing its name to Fischer USA Inc.
The company has introduced a new logo and branding to sharpen its identity across the company’s Fischer, Precise and Fortuna brands. It will also change its website to www.fischerspindle.com.
Fischer was founded in 1941 by the Schumann family as Precise Products Corp. It was privately held until 2006, when it was purchased by Switzerland-based Fischer AG Prazisionsspindeln. The company manufactures, repairs and services many makes and models of spindles.
“While our name and brand are changing, the company’s commitment to quality, innovation and customer care remains the same,” said Ryan Brath, president. “Our anniversary also provides us with an opportunity to celebrate our Swiss heritage and recognize the loyal customers and team members that have made our company a success for more than seven decades.
