First-ever Diabetes in the Workplace Summit on Thursday

The first-ever Well City Milwaukee Diabetes in the Workplace Summit is scheduled for Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Pfister Hotel, 424 E. Wisconsin Ave. in Milwaukee.

The event is the first time the Milwaukee workplace wellness community will gather to learn and discuss ways to address this specific chronic illness and its effects on workplaces.

Stuart Tousman, a professor of health psychology from the Jefferson College of Health Sciences, will give the keynote presentation.

Attendees will also review workplace data, learn best practice approaches and obtain cost-effective resources that can be used to prevent or address diabetes in the workplace.
