Final rounds of PGA Championship sell out

Grounds tickets for the final rounds of the 2015 PGA Championship in Kohler have sold out.

The championship rounds of the PGA of America competition, which brings golf’s top men’s players to Kohler Co.’s Whistling Straits course, will be held Thursday through Sunday. Tickets are now sold out for the Saturday and Sunday rounds, and limited tickets remain for Thursday and Friday.

Practice rounds began today and run through Wednesday. Tickets to watch golfers practice are still available.

“We are thrilled to announce a sell-out of Saturday and Sunday Championship-round tickets for the 2015 PGA Championship here at Whistling Straits,” said Jason Mengel, director of the 2015 PGA Championship. “The excitement we’ve seen for this Championship has been remarkable at every level – from the state of Wisconsin and regionally throughout the Midwest, to nationally across the U.S. and globally around the world. I would encourage any fans who have yet to purchase tickets to act now and join us for a major week ahead.”

Weekly ticket packages for the event sold last year. This 2015 PGA Championship broke the all-time record for combined ticket sales and corporate hospitality earlier this summer, which was previously held by the 2004 PGA Championship at Whistling Straits.

Remaining tickets are available for purchase at www.pgachampionship.com. The PGA Championship is expected to have about $100 million in economic impact on the region.
