An affiliate of Chicago-based real estate investment management firm Harrison Street recently purchased a 30,000-square-foot medical office building that is under construction at 201 E. Morrissy Dr. in Elkhorn for Aurora Health Care, according to state records.
The Harrison affiliate, HSRE-Elkhorn MOB LLC bought the building from Elkhorn Medical Office Building LLC, an affiliate of Minneapolis-based M.A. Mortenson Company, for $8.89 million, according to state records. Mortenson is the general contractor for the project.
Construction for the facility began this summer. It will be a new clinic for Aurora that will replace its two existing clinics in Elkhorn, said Aurora spokesman Adam Beeson.
Aurora will lease the facility from Harrison Street.
The facility is expected to be completed this winter and will treat 200 patients a day, he said.
