Menard remains richest in state

Forbes magazine announced its annual list of world billionaires, and eight Wisconsin residents made the list.

Here’s how they rank on the Forbes world billionaires list:

  • 133 John Menard Jr., Menards, $10.5 billion (down from $11.5 billion a year ago)
  • 200. Herbert Kohler Jr. and family, Kohler Co., $7.3 billion (down from $9.3 billion a year ago)
  • 257. Diane Hendricks, ABC Supply, $6.3 billion (up from $5.5 billion a year ago)
  • 504. James Cargill II, Cargill, $4 billion ($4.2 billion a year ago)
  • 546. H. Fisk Johnson, S. Curtis Johnson and Helen Johnson-Leipold, S.C. Johnson, each $3.8 billion (up from $3.7 billion a year ago)
  • 597. Judy Faulkner, Epic, $3.6 billion (up from $3.5 billion a year ago)

The top 10 world billionaires on the Forbes list are:

  1. Jeff Bezos & family, Amazon, $131 billion
  2. Bill Gates, Microsoft, $96.5 billion
  3. Warren Buffett, Berkshire Hathaway, $82.5 billion
  4. Bernard Arnault & family, LVMH, $76 billion
  5. Carlos Slim Helu & family, America Movil, $64 billion
  6. Amancio Ortega, Inditex, $62.7 billion
  7. Larry Ellison, Oracle, $62.5 billion
  8. Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook, $62.3 billion
  9. Michael Bloomberg, Bloomberg LP, $55.5 billion
  10. Larry Page, Google, $50.8 billion

Other billionaires of note on the Forbes list include:

  • 257. Terry Gou, founder and chairman of Foxconn, $6.3 billion
  • 1281. Marc Lasry, Bucks co-owner, $1.8 billion
