Downtown office building to be sold at auction

A 48,886-square-foot office building located at 804 N. Milwaukee St. in downtown Milwaukee is scheduled to be sold at auction on Dec. 6 at www.auction.com , said Jack Jacobson of NAI MLG Commercial, who is representing the building owner.

“For me it’s an experiment to see if that site can generate traffic and interest in a downtown Milwaukee office building,” Jacobson said.

The four-story, class B office building was built in 1984 by Milwaukee developer Joel Lee, but it was foreclosed upon by an investment group after AT&T moved out of the building, Jacobson said. The building is managed by First Services Corp.

The building, located at the northeast corner of Milwaukee and Wells streets is totally vacant, Jacobson said.

It has an assessed value of $1.775 million, according to city records.
