Dorf to speak at Wisconsin entrepreneur conference

Serial entrepreneur Bob Dorf, co-author of “The Startup Owner’s Manual” and a nationally renowned adviser on customer development and lean startup principles, will speak at the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference, which will be held June 5 and June 6 at the Pfister Hotel.

“Few people know more about customer development and getting startup mechanics right than Bob Dorf. We’re thrilled to have him speak to Wisconsin’s entrepreneurial community,” said Tom Still, president of the Wisconsin Technology Council.
Dorf and his partner, Steve Blank, published “The Startup Owner’s Manual: A Step-by-Step Guide to Building a Great Company” in March. The new guide builds on Blank’s “Four Steps to the Epiphany” and outlines customer development pathways for companies in the web and mobile channels, as well as traditional physical goods and enterprise software startups.
In addition to his own company, Dorf has led strategic customer programs at companies such as 3M, Bertelsmann, Ford, HP, Jaguar, NCR, Oracle and Schawb.
The Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference is produced by the Tech Council, the independent, non-profit science and technology advisers to the governor and the Legislature. It serves as a catalyst for the growth of Wisconsin’s tech-based and entrepreneurial economy.
The first 200 registrants for the full two-day conference will receive a copy of “The Startup Owner’s Manual.”
