Domitrz joins Bryant & Stratton

Bryant & Stratton College has appointed Joseph S. Domitrz to the newly created position of director of business programs.
Domitrz comes to Bryant & Stratton after a 25-year career as dean of the College of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. In April of 2001, Domitrz announced plans to retire from UWW.
"In his new role, Dr. Domitrz will apply his demonstrated talent for developing a nationally recognized business college to stimulate the growth and quality of Bryant & Stratton’s degree programs," says Peter Pavone, director at the Milwaukee campus. "He will increase our ability to offer lifelong learning opportunities."
In his previous position, Domitrz introduced and expanded undergraduate business programs that now rank among the finest in the state and have earned virtually every major national honor.
He instituted new centers of learning, including a Center for Innovation, a Small Business Development Center and a Minority Business Program. He also launched a variety of innovative graduate and undergraduate degree programs.
Prior to his move to UW-Whitewater in 1976, Domitrz was the chair of the economics department at Western Illinois University. He taught at Western Illinois from 1970 to 1976. He received a master’s degree in economics from Western Michigan University in 1966, and earned his doctorate degree from Southern Illinois University in 1971.
Meanwhile, the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools recently highlighted the integrity of Bryant & Stratton’s programs and performance by granting regional accreditation to this private career college.
Also, the college introduced a bachelor of business administration degree program for working adults. Students can choose between two areas of study in this new program: general management or information technology.
Bryant & Stratton’s Milwaukee campus is at 310 W. Wisconsin Ave.
