Dollar Tree store planned on King Drive

A Dollar Tree store is planned for the former Walgreens store space at the northwest corner of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and North Avenue in Milwaukee.

The Walgrees store space was vacated in 2008, when Walgreens moved to a newly built store at 2826 N. King Dr.

Andy Khullar, the owner of the property and also the owner of Andy’s gasoline stations and convenience stores in the Milwaukee area, originally planned to convert the former Walgreens space in the building into a grocery store, but now is working on plans to bring a Dollar Tree franchise into the space, said Jeff Fleming, spokesman for the Department of City Development.
