Dimitrijevic appoints county board chief of staff

Recently elected Milwaukee County Board Chairwoman Marina Dimitrijevic has named Kelly Bablitch to the position of chief of staff for the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors.

Bablitch has served MilwaukeeCounty as the Assistant Director of Intergovernmental Relations for the past seven years.  Prior to her County service, she served as both a Policy Analyst and Deputy Chief of Staff for Congresswoman Gwen Moore when she served in the State Senate. Bablitch is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
“This is a difficult task, but I am confident that Ms. Bablitch is the right person for this key appointment at the County Board,” Dimitrijevic said.  “She will work well with all Supervisors to help them achieve their policy objectives and improve Milwaukee County services.”
Bablitch succeeds Terrence Cooley, who plans to retire after nearly ten years as Chief of Staff. Cooley will assist with the transition.
