Denali expands New Berlin facility

Wayland, Mich.-based Denali Flavors, Inc., one of the nation’s leading inventors and marketers of premium flavors for the ice cream industry, has expanded its sister manufacturing company, Denali Ingredients LLC, in New Berlin to keep pace with increasing demand for its ice cream products.

The 72,000-square-foot facility, located at 2400 S. Calhoun Road, produces chocolate coatings, fudge sauces, powders, fruit variegates and other ice cream ingredients for the dairy industry

The $2 million renovation increases raw ingredients storage capabilities by 80 percent, or nearly 45,000 gallons.

The facility, formerly owned by Value America, had doubled its output during the two and a half years since Denali Ingredients took ownership. The company has invested nearly $4 million in mechanical and equipment improvements, and has increased staff by 20 percent to about 25-30 employees.
