What does your daily or weekly fitness regime consist of? During the days I alternate between weights and cardio. On strength days I do a combination of free weights and some machines for around 75 minutes. Cardio is usually stairmaster machine for an hour. I have also added stretching to my workouts for increased flexibility. I workout very early in the morning so that I can always get it in.

What fitness clubs do you belong to, if any? Wisconsin Athletic Club

Other than the obvious health benefits, how has being fit improved your life? I can continue to play competitive sports and participate in active events such as the US Bank tower stair climb for the American Lung Association. I did five times up in an hour (225 floors total).

How does personal fitness affect your work life? I feel more alert at work and my workouts are a good outlet for stress.

How does fitness or wellness affect your overall organization? Less cost due to employees being at work more and lower medical expenses for sickness and injury.

What advice do you have for other executives interested in starting either a personal fitness plan or corporate wellness initiative? Do something that you will stick with. Involve trainers if you need motivation to keep you on track and give you guidance. Make it a daily habit and not something you will do only when you have time.
