Good City Brewing co-founder
Dan Katt recently joined
Mandel Group Inc. as development manager, the Milwaukee-based real estate development firm announced Monday.
Katt, who founded Good City in 2016 with David Dupee and Andrew Jones, takes on this new role as the Milwaukee-based craft brewer carries out a "succession plan with key management personnel," according to a news release.
As Mandel Group's development manager, Katt is responsible for all aspects of project formation, implementation and project management through construction and delivery. He will be involved in leading the development of several current Mandel projects, including Norden Range in Oconomowoc, Element Collective in Madison and Harbor Yards in downtown Milwaukee.
Katt has a professional background in commercial real estate. He started his career at Madison-based Findorff, working his way up to business development manager - southeast Wisconsin. It was during this stint that Katt worked alongside Mandel Group as a Findorff construction team member for the University Club Tower and Marine Terminal Lofts projects.
In 2013, Katt founded Craft Development, a commercial real estate development and consulting firm that worked on several commercial development projects throughout the area.
He has also been actively engaged in the Milwaukee business community for nearly two decades on a wide variety of initiatives, including as a current board member of the Eastside BID, Deer District BID, and the Wisconsin Brewers Guild, according to the release.
Good City launched its flagship brewery in 2016 on Milwaukee’s East Side, and expanded two years later with a second production site and taproom along the entertainment block near Fiserv Forum in downtown Milwaukee. In July 2018, the business purchased a 53,000-square-foot building at the Century City business park on Milwaukee’s northwest side to relocate its office and warehouse operation. In 2021, Good City
opened a third taproom location at the Mayfair Collection in Wauwatosa.
