Construction complete on Pleasant Prairie building for Ta Chen

Oak Brook, Ill.-based CenterPoint Properties announced today that it has completed construction of a 471,360-square-foot facility in LakeView Corporate Park in Pleasant Prairie for Ta Chen International Inc.

Ta Chen is a distributor of stainless, aluminum and nickel alloy coils, sheets, plates, long products, tubes and PVFs. The firm will move its operations to the facility from Gurnee, Ill. It will have 61 employees at the facility, which will be its new Midwest distribution center.

Ta Chen has entered into a 15-year-lease for the Pleasant Prairie facility.

“After nine years and one addition to their current facility, Ta Chen needed a more efficient and larger facility,” said Edward Harrington, senior vice president of development at CenterPoint Properties. “We are pleased to be able to solve Ta Chen’s growing real estate needs and relocate them to a facility that is twice as large as their current one.”

Cornerstone Architects provided the architectural services for the facility, while FCL Builders served as the general contractor for the project. Sam Badger and Whit Heitman of Cushman & Wakefield represented CenterPoint Properties, while Nathan Anderson and Darren Butler of NAI Brannen Goddard represented Ta Chen on the long-term lease transaction.
