Conservatives go after Wirch

State Sen. Bob Wirch, a Kenosha-area Democrat up for re-election next year, is being targeted by a conservative group for joining his Dem colleagues in Illinois to avoid a vote in the Republican-run Senate on stripping many collective bargaining rights.
The Wisconsin Club for Growth is using radio ads and robocalls.
Meanwhile, the Robert Wirch Recall Exploratory Committee is making noise.
Chairman Dan Hunt of the Recall Wirch Exploratory Committee says “if Senator Wirch doesn’t like his job enough to be in Madison to do it, we will make certain that he stays home permanently.”
Added Hunt: “This disruptive and unprofessional behavior is detrimental to the recovery of Wisconsin and it needs to end now.”
Wirch is up for re-election next year.
