Condoleezza Rice to headline Medical College Dinner

Condoleezza Rice, Ph.D., former U.S. Secretary of State will be the keynote speaker for The Medical College of Wisconsin’s Healthcare 2009 dinner, Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the Pfister Hotel. Rice will share her experiences while providing a look at global affairs during her tenure. As secretary of state and national security advisor, Rice pioneered a policy of transformational diplomacy and heralded the formation of new global governments based on democratic principles. She served as secretary of state during a time of unprecedented and tumultuous world affairs.

Individual tickets and sponsored tables are now on sale to hear her speak. The event is hosted by the Medical College’s Digestive Disease Center Advisory Board –community leaders who raise awareness of digestive disease and funds for research. Event co-chairs are Joyce Myers and David Raysich. Registration and a reception will begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m., and the program at 8 p.m.

The event will also include presentation of the Warren P. Knowles Humanitarian Award to Ted and Mary Kellner. The award honors an individual or organization from Wisconsin with a commitment to health-related issues and whose work reflects the dedication to public service and education marking the career of Governor Warren P. Knowles.  The Kellners’ long record of public service makes them outstanding and inspirational candidates for this honor.

Sponsors for the event can purchase two tables seating 20 guests, for $10,000 each or $5,000 for a sponsor table of ten, both include a photo opportunity with Rice. Corporate tables of eight can be purchased for $3,000. All table purchases include dinner and the general reception for guests. Individual tickets are $300 each and include dinner and an invitation to the general reception.
