Commercial building planned for vacant Brady Street lot

Milwaukee-based Citywide Development LLC plans to build a 2 ½-story commercial building on a vacant lot at the southeast corner of Brady Street and Arlington Place, on Milwaukee’s east side. The lot, located at 1239 E. Brady St., has been vacant since 2001 when a 100-plus-year-old building was torn down after workers damaged supporting piers in the basement. The proposed new building is designed to be reminiscent of the original structure. A representative of Citywide Development did not return a phone call seeking comment.
