Clifton Gunderson CEO named to new accounting standards panel

Krista McMasters, CEO of Milwaukee-based Clifton Gunderson, has been named to a “blue ribbon panel” that has been asked to look at U.S. accounting standards and determine how they can be best meet the needs of professions who use the financial statements of private companies. The panel was assembled by The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF), and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA). Its members include lenders, investors and owners of privately held companies, as well as financial statement preparers and auditors.

In about one year, the panel will report its recommendations to the FAF Board of Trustees.

“Our blue-ribbon panel members represent a broad range of constituencies who share a keen interest in private company financial reporting,” said Rick Anderson, chairman of Moss Adams LLP and chairman of the committee. “The members we have assembled all possess experience and expertise in this area, and their participation will undoubtedly result in productive, insightful recommendations to the FAF Board of Trustees regarding this important issue.”
