The City of Milwaukee Election Commission continues to recruit residents to serve as poll workers for the Nov. 2 general election.
An additional 200 workers are needed to ensure that all of the city’s 181 polling sites are well-staffed.
The Election Commission encourages those city residents who are customer service oriented, problem solvers, efficient, and able to multi-task to contact the Election Commission at (414) 286-3491 or go online at www.milwaukee.gov/election to obtain an application.
Workers are compensated $100 for a full day – 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Attendance at a two-hour training session is required, and participants are compensated $15 for attending. Training sessions are scheduled throughout the month of October at multiple locations.
To serve as a poll worker, you must be 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen and a resident of the City of Milwaukee and never have been convicted of a felony.
