City issues RFP for King Drive site

The City of Milwaukee’s Redevelopment Authority recently issued a request for proposals (RFP) seeking development ideas for a vacant site at 2231 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.

The 18,750-square-foot vacant lot is on the west side of King Drive, just south of North Avenue. The site lies within the Historic King Drive Business Improvement District and the greater Bronzeville area.

The city’s asking price for the property is $93,750. The city wants a mixed-use development on the site with pedestrian-oriented retail on the first floor. The building must be between two to five stories tall.

Responses to the RFP must be submitted to the city by July 1.
