CHW names director of federal government relations

    Lindsay Punzenberger has been named director of federal government relations for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, where she will represent Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin’s priority issues before the US. Congress and the federal administration.

    Most recently, she was senior vice president at the government relations firm Venn Strategies LLC based in Washington, D.C. In that role, she was involved in a wide array of health care projects such as representing hospital and biopharmaceutical clients before the U.S. Congress and the federal administration. She also built a presence for two major coalitions, one dedicated to critical care medicine and the other to home-based kidney dialysis.

    Previously, Punzenberger was a legislative assistant for Rep. Thomas Petri (R-Wis.), where she served as the congressman’s senior advisor on health care, education and labor issues.

    Punzenberger earned a master’s degree in public policy from George Mason University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She lives in Washington, D.C.
