Children’s Hospital building in Brookfield

Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin will be the final tenant of the Underwood Crossing development on Bluemound Road in Brookfield.

The health care system is building an 18,500-square-foot primary care facility at 12635 West Bluemound Road, according to Ryan Marks, managing director, Ryan Companies.

“There is one piece of land left and it’s a great little stop for people with a Target, Trader Joe’s and Starbucks located right there,” Marks said.

The Brookfield Plan Commission approved the project in June.

When the Underwood Crossing building opens Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Pediatric Consultants of Wisconsin, 10909 W. Bluemound Rd., will relocate to the new facility.

“The new clinic is part of our effort to bring care closer to home,” said Andy Brodzeller, Children’s spokesman.

Children’s Hospital is also constructing a 40,000-square-foot medical office building in Mequon. Over the last two years, Children’s Hospital has opened primary clinics in Fox Point, the Northside YMCA and COA Goldin Center and the Delafield Clinic.
