Chicago’s Crown family is teaming up with Milwaukee-based Robert W. Baird & Co.’s private equity unit to invest in a Chinese truck manufacturer that will use the money to expand production and sales in China.
CC Industries Inc., the Chicago-based private equity arm of the family that is led by Bill Crown, will invest along with CC Industries-owned truck-maker Great Dane and Baird’s Asian private equity unit. They declined to say how much money they’re investing, but disclosed that they will jointly hold a minority stake.
