Hartland girl receives national award for commitment to fight cancer
Annie Bartosz, the 13-year-old founder of the Hartland-based Gold in September charity, has been named a “100 Everyday Amazing” individual for her commitment to the fight against childhood cancer. Assurant Health to close; 300 initially affected
After a review of strategic alternatives for its health business, Assurant Inc. announced today that it will shut down its Milwaukee-based Assurant Health division in downtown Milwaukee over the next 18 months. The first phase of job reductions will occur this summer and affect an estimated 300 out of approximately 1,700 positions at Assurant Health.
MillerCoors Milwaukee brewery now landfill-free
Chicago-based MillerCoors LLC announced that its Milwaukee brewery and corporate offices are now landfill-free. The brewer eliminated 65 tons of waste that was previously sent to landfills each month from its brewery and corporate offices, logging its first landfill-free month at the brewery in December 2014.

The Medical College of Wisconsin announced today that it plans to build a 225,000-square-foot office building on the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center campus in Wauwatosa.
