Care Animal Hospital will construct an 11,836-square-foot veterinary office on the north side of Prairie Ridge Boulevard, west of 88th Avenue, according to a press release from the village.

The new location is slated to open in fall 2017. Construction is expected to begin in December. The clinic has operated at 8989 74th St., along Highway 50, since 2000.

Seven doctors and 30 full-time employees are expected to work from the new location. Approximately 140 customer visits are expected per day.

A conceptual plan for the project was previously approved by the Pleasant Prairie Village Board in July. The plan commission approved site an operation plans this week.
