Burger King to open East Side location

A Burger King restaurant is planned for the southwest corner of Prospect Avenue and North Avenue on the East Side of Milwaukee.

The restaurant chain recently leased a 1,750-square-foot space at 2045 E. North Ave. according to Mid-America Real Estate. Teresa Shemitis of Mid-America brokered the deal for the building owner.

The 6,114-square-foot multi-tenant retail building was developed by Boulder Venture LLC in 2007 on a site that previously was occupied by a gas station.

The only other tenant currently in the building is Ian’s Pizza. Burger King will occupy space formerly occupied by Bruegger’s Bagels right at the Prospect and North corner of the building. A Subway restaurant was also previously located in the building.
