The Yunker Industries Inc.’s transformation played a vital role in helping it win a new line of credit with Park Bank, said Heather Baylar, vice president of commercial lending at the bank. “This is a great, family-owned company that now has great visibility,” she said. “They did all of the right things necessary to put them on a forward path. This is a relationship with a customer we hope to have for many years.”
Karen Duggan, a graphic account manager at New Jersey-based Pitman Co., a supplier to the print industry, said that while many of Yunker Industries’ peers in the print industry have fallen on hard times, the changes at the company make her believe it has a bright future. “They’ve always stepped up to the plate and followed through on their promises,” Duggan said. “We feel good about where they’re going. Their core is correct. We feel this company is going to be around for the next 60 years.”
Eddie Sayers, marketing manager of digital for Kansas City-based Fujifilm Sericol USA Inc., which supplies printing equipment to Yunker, said the transformation made at the Lake Geneva company has been dramatic. “When you talk to their VPs in the purchasing area or a new hire on the press – they’re focused on creating the most value for their customers,” Sayers said.
