The Economic Development committee of Washington County has invited small to medium-size businesses to attend a seminar series on building a healthy workforce. Dr. Carlyle Chan, professor and vice chair for professional development and educational outreach at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa, will talk about motivating people to healthier behaviors on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at West Bend Mutual Prairie Center, from 8 to 10 a.m.. The event is free for EDCW investors or $10 per person, A panel of Washington County employers will off best practices and ideas for building a healthier workplace, including information on how to address issues like reducing absenteeism, improving morale, and increasing productivity.
