Buckley’s, located at 801-803 N. Cass St. (just north of the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. headquarters campus), plans to expand into an existing driveway at 805 N. Cass St. and the residential building at 807-809 N. Cass St., which Pam and Mike Buckley purchased several years ago.

The expanded restaurant will include two bars, a larger kitchen, a bakery and new dining facilities, according to plans submitted to the city of Milwaukee.

Outdoor dining will be located in several locations and a new second floor balcony will also be added, according to the application.

The Historic Preservation Commission will consider the request next month.

The current location is in a two-story, 4,022-square-foot building. The restaurant occupies 1,761 square feet.

Pam Buckley did not want to comment on the future plans.
